Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration 29-09-2023

Our school held its Mid-autumn festival celebration on the 29th of September (Friday), and we kicked off the celebration with our principal, our teachers, our students and the parents decorating the school or partaking in different festive activities.

The school was decorated in colourful and brightly lit lanterns, alongside with traditional food to enhance the festivities. The school also designed lantern riddles for the parents to partake in, allowing the parents to feel the Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere; eager parents all tackled the riddles fervently to win a prize for their children.

The students also partook in different Mid-Autumn Festival celebration activities in school. The celebration started with a video of an reenactment of the Mid-Autumn Festival myth portrayed by our teachers; the students got to learn more about the traditions and the festivities of the festival, and was introduced to a plethora of different traditional Mid-Autumn Festival food. We wrapped the celebration up with festive games; the school was filled with laughter and joy, and the students and teachers alike got a deeper appreciation of our Chinese culture. As the event came to an end, students took Mid-Autumn Festival celebration items, including fruits, moon cakes and lanterns, and went home with holiday blessings to share with their families. Here’s wishing all of you a happy Mid-Autumn Festival! Blessings upon you and your family!
